FAQ · Materials & Care
Is "performance fabric" a real thing or marketing?
Both — the term is unregulated, but the specs behind it are real. Genuine performance upholstery uses solution-dyed fibers (acrylic, olefin) or tight high-grade weaves that resist stains, UV fading, and abrasion, and it is the right call for kids, pets, and sunny rooms. The check is simple: look for a stated rub count (25,000+ double rubs for daily seating), a cleanability code (W or W/S), and fiber content — not the word "performance" on a swatch tag. If the retailer cannot show those numbers, treat the claim as upholstery-flavored marketing.
