High-Resiliency (HR) Foam
High-resiliency foam is seat-cushion foam with a density around 2.5 lb/ft³ or higher and a high support factor, so it recovers its shape instead of collapsing into a permanent dip. Cushion density is the single best predictor of how a sofa or recliner seat feels in year three. Under 1.8 lb/ft³ is where budget cushions flatten fast.
