Kiln-Dried Hardwood
Kiln-dried hardwood is frame lumber that has been oven-dried to a low moisture content before assembly, so it will not warp, crack, or loosen at the joints as it acclimates to your home. It is the frame spec to look for in a sofa you want to keep a decade; "hardwood solids and engineered wood" usually signals a mix.
