Slat Spacing
Slat spacing is the gap between the boards that hold a mattress on a platform bed or foundation. Most foam and hybrid mattress warranties specify a maximum gap — commonly around 3 inches — because wider gaps let foam sink through and create body impressions the warranty then excludes. Measure before you buy the frame, not after the mattress sags.
